Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Android Developer (Part-Time) to join our growing team. In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain advanced Android applications — with a special focus on offline-first architecture, performance optimization, and system-level integrations like VPN. You will work closely with our cross-functional team, including designers, backend engineers, and QA specialists, to deliver robust and user-friendly mobile experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java

  • Architect and structure apps using MVVM or Clean Architecture principles

  • Build offline-first capabilities using Room, SQLite, WorkManager, and custom sync logic

  • Implement secure, scalable network communications using Retrofit, OkHttp, and encrypted storage

  • Integrate system-level modules such as VPN, NFC, and subscription billing

  • Maintain high code quality through unit testing and adherence to clean code practices

  • Work with tools like Git, CI/CD pipelines, and project/task boards (Agile/Scrum workflows)

  • Collaborate with the design and product team to ensure smooth user experiences

  • Take ownership of Android app delivery, quality, and performance

  • Support app modularization, dependency injection (Dagger/Hilt), and scalability

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Android development

  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and solid Java knowledge

  • Deep understanding of Android SDK and Jetpack components

  • Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose is a plus

  • Proven experience with offline-first strategies and background sync

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, secure data handling, and JSON parsing

  • Experience with VPN technologies (VpnService, IKEv2, OpenVPN) is highly desirable

  • Strong grasp of architectural principles and clean code standards

  • Experience working with Git, CI/CD tools, and modern development workflows

  • Familiarity with Firebase, dynamic configuration, push notifications, or analytics is a plus

  • Proficiency in English for effective communication
